Meaningful
ARCHITECTURE
Everyone seeks meaning and joy in life. As an architect in Charlotte, I know that architecture influences the quality of the connections between people and between people and nature. These meaningful connections are enhanced by well-crafted public and private spaces as well as through the thoughtful and creative use of resources. How well our houses are designed and built is especially significant as the home is where we return to recharge, share our lives with family and friends, and make strong and lasting memories. Consequently, I design houses to enhance each client’s treasured idea of home. As a Charlotte Architect, I know how important build a new house, remodeling a kitchen or bathroom or adding an addition can be.
Sensible
BUILDING
Being a Architect in Charlotte, I have helped on many projects in Charlotte, Huntersville, Mooresville, Cornelius, Weddington, Davidson, Southpark and Ballantyne. Designing and building a house ought to be a rewarding experience. Ensuring this goal, I pride myself on listening carefully as every client has unique expectations and requirements. Throughout each step of the design process, I incorporate the homeowner’s input and prepare multiple sketches and drawings, allowing my clients to visualize the flow of the spaces, the selection of materials, and the design of those details of specific concern (e.g. abundant storage, the ideal kitchen, the outdoor seating area). And, in order to ensure that your completed plans are sensibly executed, I continue to work attentively throughout the construction process to represent your interests to help keep costs down while addressing your needs.

SUSTAINABILITY
We embrace a three-pronged approach to environmentally-conscious design. First of all, conserving energy, materials, water, and land must be integral to constructional and operational goals. Second, it is vital that building design wholeheartedly incorporate biophilia, our innate desire to engage with nature. Recent research has demonstrated that the integral connection to nature leads to numerous physiological and psychological benefits. Third, as children grow and leave home or as our bodies grow older, people generally want to continue living in their current homes, thus sustainable design must address the dynamic nature of the cycle of life. We would love to collaborate with you on your next project. I am anDavidson Architect and work throughout the Charlotte area.
