Fellowship-trained reconstructive urology and men’s health specialist Paul Chung, MD, is a charismatic hands-on physician serving patients in the Philadelphia and Cherry Hill, New Jersey, areas. Dr. Chung offers a wide range of care for enlarged prostate, erectile dysfunction, incontinence, low testosterone, penile implants, Peyronie’s disease, urethral stricture disease, urinary incontinence, buried penis repair, and genitourinary trauma.
Dr. Chung uses a wide range of the most advanced equipment and procedures to perform the medical treatments and minimally invasive robotic surgeries his patients need to achieve optimal wellness. He wants patients to have the best experience while under his care, and to that end, he takes the time to understand each patient’s needs and goals. Dr. Chung always strives to be accessible to his patients.
Dr. Chung earned his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University McCormick School of Engineering in Evanston, Illinois. He then earned his medical degree at Thomas Jefferson University, Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia. Dr. Chung completed a fellowship in the National Institutes of Health’s clinical research training program in Bethesda, Maryland.
He then completed his general surgery internship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, followed by his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Chung also completed a fellowship in genitourinary and reconstructive surgery at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
Currently, Dr. Chung is the director of the division of reconstructive urology and an assistant urology professor at Thomas Jefferson University, Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia. He’s been published in a number of peer-reviewed urology journals.
He’s an active member of the American Urological Association, American College of Surgeons, Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons, World Professional Association for Transgender Health, International Society for Sexual Medicine, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, Philadelphia Urologic Society, and the MId-Atlantic American Urological Association.
