Our annual Year in Review book is part 'thank you note' to our patients and communities, and part 'time capsule' to remember our impact. As we reflect back on 2019, especially in the middle of a tumultuous year, we realize how much we have to be grateful for. We're surrounded by incredible people who simply want to make a difference for others, and thanks to all of you -- the future is bright. Read our 2019 Year in Review: www.tcomn.com/2019
#TestimonialTuesday 📷 by Jim Todd: My son was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, stationed in Honolulu, when he suffered a severe knee injury. He had 2 unsuccessful surgeries over 2 years in the Army and was eventually medically retired. My son was extremely active prior to his injury, but after the injury and surgeries, he was left unable to do the things he enjoyed. Just a casual walk was painful and difficult. After some extensive research, we found Dr. Robert LaPrade and TCO. We made the trip to Minnesota, had a successful surgery and one week’s worth of physical therapy, and then returned to South Carolina. Fast forward 8 weeks, and my son is walking pain free, once again optimistic about his future, looking forward to resuming an active life, and pursuing his post-military career. The thank you list is extensive, and I’ll surely miss someone. Let’s just say it is most definitely a team effort, and Dr. LaPrade and his entire team were a Godsend. Thank you for giving him back the quality of life he deserves!

Humbled by this recognition and grateful to everyone who makes TCO special. We are excited to announce the promotion of Aaron Johnson to Chief Executive Officer, a role held by Troy Simonson since 2013. Troy will now concentrate on supporting the growth of healthcare practices locally and nationwide as the CEO of Revo Health, a company formed by TCO in 2017. Under Troy’s guidance, TCO has experienced massive success, and he credits his strong team, led by Aaron, with making these achievements possible. Aaron, formerly our Chief Operating Officer, has been with the practice for the past 10 years and has been responsible for a number of innovations contributing to TCO’s market growth. Notably, Aaron has managed the development of new TCO buildings and ASCs, while forging strong relationships with local health systems. “This is an incredible honor, and I’d like to thank the TCO physicians and Troy for putting their trust in me,” Aaron said. “What we’re doing here is special, and it’s my responsibility to keep it that way, long into the future.” Full story: https://tcomn.com/twin-cities-orthopedics-announces-new-chief-executive-officer-framework-for-continued-growth/

We’ve got “The Scoop” on some breaking injury news. 9-year-old “Drewgie,” son of KSTP Sports reporter Darren "Doogie" Wolfson, is already back to basketball after an arm injury. Here’s what dad had to say: “Our experience at TCO was A+. Minimal wait time and great interaction with Dr. Ryan Hess. As you can imagine with a 9-year-old, any visit to the doctor's office offers a certain level of anxiety and tension. But TCO is so good, my son was super pumped for his appointment on Jan. 22nd! Admittedly, he was optimistic his cast would be coming off, and he'd be cleared to play basketball, which he was. Dr. Hess answered all of our questions, and my son was able to play in a tournament the very next day. I'd highly recommend TCO to anyone who needs orthopedic care.”
