My family lost a great lady yesterday. Jan Wagenaar was a first cousin to my father; her mother Lenore Wagenarr was my Grandad Chet Schott's oldest sister. Jan was raised in Condon, OR- CHS class of 1950- and lived in Portland for many years. She was a loyal employee in the legal field, primarily for Chuck Paulson- a great boss whose family was like family to her- and associates. She worked for others in earlier years, including State Senator Berkley "Bud" Lent's law practice in the 1960s before he was on The Oregon Supreme Court. She always spoke so highly of Bud and Chuck.
Jan was a benevolent relative and friend to so many people. I will likely add more photos, but here are some relatively recent ones I found on my phone,. The first was taken four years ago this month shortly before Jan had a stroke and moved to a retirement home. She was visited by cousins Nick and Dellie and their kids Conrad, Roy, and Frankie from the Burns area. It was shortly before deer season which was one of Jan's favorite events. The old-timer hunters loved Jan and vice versa and I always enjoyed her stories of them and other family history.
The others are from three summers ago when my cousin Marget was out visiting with her baby boy Michael. Also, pictured is Jan's late sister Alice Marie (she was the oldest, then Jan, then brother Bill) and Alice Marie's daughter, Christy, who took great care of Jan in her final years. Also yours truly. One final pic I found of Jan and Alice Marie at Margaret and Tom's wedding at Condon Elks in May 2015. Jan always loved returning home.
RIP and Au Revoir lovely ladies! We are lucky to have had you in our lives!

Jan Wagenaar worked with my dad Chuck Paulson for over 50 years. They were a great team. She took care of Paulson Coletti until she could no longer work. She was family and will be dearly missed. ❤️

Heaven has a beautiful angel. Today We say good bye to our a wonderful, loving, caring, fiesty Aunt Jan. We love you so very much and you will be so missed. ❤😍😘

Thank you to Scott Busch for having the strength to sit on appeal for four years to get a ruling that will help all injured Oregonians. John Coletti tried the case over four years ago and has fought for him ever since. Scott lost his leg in the accident but has a backbone of steel and has continually advocated for himself and other injured Oregonians. Thank you Scott. Thank you John.

State Supreme Court overturns $500,000 cap on noneconomic damages
Justice Martha Walters, Chief Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court, said the judicial department needed face masks. Without hesitation, a group of firms, who traditionally are adversaries in the court, agreed to work together to provide assistance. Our firms, our clients and the public at large, depend upon safe access to the courts.
The firms involved in this effort are : Miller Wagner, Keating Jones, Paulson Coletti, Lindsay Hart, Robert Beatty Walters, and Hart Wagner.
Our six firms have agreed to purchase a total of 30,000 masks that we expect will be delivered within a week.
