The air quality in Northern Colorado is obviously not great right now due to local fires. Children are at high risk to have health issues from poor air quality. Keep them indoors for their protection. And if your child has asthma, you may consider using their asthma medications.

Influenza vaccine clinics at PANC
Yes, it is that time of year again! Time to vaccinate for influenza.
With Covid-19 we know it may be a tough Fall/Winter for your children. Both Covid-19 and influenza are serious viruses. Influenza is the most vaccine preventable infection.
Due to Covid-19 flu clinics will look a little different. To do our best to keep everyone safe; we will be doing walk through flu clinics. Specifically, on Saturdays in the Fall. We will ask that you check-in at the front and stand on an X in the clinic. We will have one-way traffic in and out of the building. This will help with social distancing and to not cross paths with other patients.
• Please call our office to schedule a Saturday clinic (end of Sept – mid Nov).
• Siblings will be grouped together.
• Please reschedule if you or your child(ren) are ill.
• Please wear a mask (unless your child is under age 2 yrs).
If your child has a Well Visit scheduled this Fall, we welcome siblings to join for a “flu only” appointment. Please call us to have siblings added to the schedule.

Interesting new study suggesting that children vaccinated against influenza and Pneumococcus (Prevnar vaccine given at routine visits), had less Covid symptoms. They speculate that having had the MMR vaccine confers some cross protection to Covid as well. Just shows the importance of children receiving vaccinations.
