The Pediatric Cardiology Center of Oregon has been caring for children and adults with congenital heart disease in the Pacific Northwest since 1986. Our pediatric heart program has pioneered many important advances in the treatment of congenital heart disease, including the first Norwood surgical procedure for hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) in Oregon, as well as the first arterial switch operation for transposition of the great arteries (TGA).
Since our inception, we have grown to a team of 5 board-certified pediatric cardiologists and 1 board-certified physician assistant. In 1996, Dr. Marc LeGras began offering electrophysiology services for patients with abnormal heart rhythms, and since Dr. James Kyser’s arrival in 2005, we have markedly increased our ability to offer non-surgical repair for many heart defects in our cardiac catheterization laboratory. We are proudly affiliated with Legacy Emanuel Hospital and the brand new Randall Children’s Hospital, a state-of-the-art building designed and built to promote a healing environment for children.
The Pediatric Cardiology Center of Oregon knows that traveling for medical appointments places a burden on patients and their families. Our doctors regularly travel throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington to staff our Outreach clinics, so that our out-of-town patients can see their pediatric cardiologist at a location closer to home. We have outreach clinics located in Albany, Springfield, Eugene, Pendleton, The Dalles, Medford, Grants Pass, Bend, Salem, Vancouver (WA) and Longview (WA).
