Pediatrics East was started as the vision of Dr. Vincent Carnaggio in 1957 to serve the pediatric community in the eastern part of Birmingham. He was joined by Dr. Andrew Charles Money after 5 years of growth and together they made a positive impact on pediatric health care and in the eastern area.
Over the years the practice has grown and now includes two offices, one in Trussville and one on Deerfoot Parkway. With these two clinics, Pediatrics East provides pediatric medical care to the communities of Jefferson County, St. Clair County, Blount County, and other surrounding areas. In 1996, we became part of the Children's Health System ensuring a close relationship with the Children's Hospital of Alabama.
In 2007, Pediatrics East celebrated a milestone with its 50th anniversary of treating patients. We are honored to be treating the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of former patients. In June of 2011, Pediatrics East opened up a brand new office in Trussville to coincide with their Deerfoot office that opened in 1997.
At Pediatrics East, we provide health supervision from the birth of your child though age 21. Our office staff includes physicians, registered nurses, lab technicians, medical assistants, receptionists, and the business office staff . We are all here with the same compassion for children and the desire to assist families with the health supervision of their children. We are committed to serving the medical needs of our patients by being open most days of the year and providing 24 hour call for emergencies.
