Happy 1/2 Way to St. Patrick’s Day and also HAPPY INTERNATIONAL IRISH DANCE DAY! We celebrated with a performance outdoors at O’Neill’s in Sono, it was a wonderful night and we were so happy to finally be able to perform again since our “real” St. Patrick’s Day was pretty much cancelled this year 😞. Thank you Ollie and everyone for having us!
All so true, we are so very thankful for everyone who has supported this school through these crazy times ❤️❤️❤️ Scott Baker September 4 at 10:08 AM · Most dance teachers right now are working double the hours for the same wage & have double the amount of class planning & have also lost a considerable amount of income due to dancers not returning from Covid-19. They have survived 100 days of Zoom & then 20 days of planning how to open the studio safely with strict & confusing guidelines. They are now trying their best to keep classes exciting & fresh aswell as nurture you as individual dancers, most of whom usually train busy exciting schedules for competitions or shows. Some have even lost their venues, due to halls raising their prices to unaffordable rates. It’s literally crippling for some dance teachers. Remember when you couldn’t grasp that move & your teacher was right behind you until you nailed it? Remember your first class when you was nervous as hell but your teacher held your hand until you felt better? Remember when your teacher screamed that hard for you at a competition they lost their voice? Remember when you won that title & they cried just as hard as your mum? Remember when they spent hours driving you to a competition because they knew you wanted to be there? Remember every time they did your makeup until you learnt how? Remember how they had your back? Remember how they always fought your corner? So please, before you throw in the towel or ‘get bored with no comps’ or ‘just want to be with your mates because it’s different now’...When times got tough for you, your teacher didn’t up & leave. Don’t you think you owe it to your teachers to stick it out at least until things are back to normal & then make the decision? Just honest food for thought ✌️❤️💫
