People's United Bank employee Ana Williams saw her community was in need and she stepped up in a big way. While watching the news back in March, she heard about the mask shortage for nurse due to COVID-19, and knew she could help. She dusted off her sewing machine and got to work. Over the course of 6 months, she's sewn over 3,000 masks for hospital workers, medical offices, day care centers, local schools, essential workers, and homeless shelters. For her hard work, she was recently recognized and honored as a Channel 12 News Hometown Hero!
