Walk to END Alzheimer’s!!!! We came, we walked, the sun came out, we laughed, we walked again, and again! 💜💜💜 Special thank you to all the staff, friends and families who sent in donations, encouragement and who walked with us in spirit!!
Our residents were busy decorating for the Red Hat Social where we drank tea and enjoyed homemade cheesecake (Baking group made it yesterday) followed by Apple Bingo! What a busy but fun filled afternoon!! 🍎💜
Sippin’ milk shakes 1 last time as our warm summer days begin to turn a little bit cooler. The fall themed sun-hats our crafting group had been working on came in handy as that warm afternoon sun filled the room today !! 🍁🍂
On Thursday, Luke McNamee stopped by dressed up as baseball player Max Haymaker! Luke played the Saxophone outside our window, what a hit!!

Wunderbar!! Oktoberfest 2020 celebrated today with an outstanding German meal featuring bratwurst, braised red cabbage, German potato salad followed by apple strudel. We listened & danced to German polkas while the ‘near beer’ was a-flowin’
Glimpses from our Apple Week: we made homemade apple turnovers twice because it was such a popular activity! We also did an apple weaving craft which turned out lovely!
Today we played ‘Price is Right’ (in the middle of thunder & lightning!) Seen here is one of our winning contestants! Also had a terrific baking group who made pumpkin-walnut bars from scratch. At yesterday evening’s bingo, our Activties Director, tested out running bingo on the large TV screen & it went extremely well!
Friday Pumpkin pie 🥧 Social. Also, we have been offering many sorting activities on Friday afternoons which has been very popular and friendship building! (Note that many more activities are being offered, but we’re limited as to posting in respect to resident-family privacy wishes!)
Clowns on Rounds featured 4 dancing clowns today!! Tina V. (to far right) works part time in Activties Dept!
A joyous October Birthday Celebration today with Clowns on Rounds window visits in morning, afternoon cake decorating group & birthday party with pumpkin piñata!

Happy Halloween! We had fun today dressing up and being a little silly, then enjoying a few wee ones at the windows!
Honoring our Veterans today in many ways! Our vets enjoyed a free take-out lunch from Applebee’s Latham!
Our National Anthem performed in sign language this afternoon by Barbara Fields. It was extraordinarily beautiful! Our residents greatly enjoyed the program!
Clowns-on-Rounds honored our veterans this afternoon with a wonderfully uplifting program. They come a day early due to the rain forecast tomorrow! Video coming in next post.

Today we celebrated our November birthday gal, Marcia, with a cupcake party complete with cupcake pinata and a seriously fun round of balloon volleyball! Also, our in-house baking team did an extraordinary job frosting our home-made chocolate cupcakes!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends & families! Thank you to all staff who pitched in for a GREAT DAY TOGETHER. We enjoyed a great meal, compliments to Dietary Dept, Vic & Marcella and a special time in Activities with a Thanksgiving Holy Service, Thanksgiving Jeopardy and of course, Bingo!
Today we received some Thanksgiving ‘sunshine’ from our friends, Clowns on rounds, at our windows! They created a special program for us with songs such as, “Count your blessings” And of course included traditional favorites such as seen here!
For our Artistic Expression session this week, our theme encompassed the spirit of turkeys! We started by imprinting our handprints, then enjoyed embellishing them! So many wonderful styles emerged.
We are making Advent calendars. Our residents enjoyed watercolor painting the windows and we hope to finish them tomorrow! Many residents greatly enjoyed this activity. We are excited for Christmas countdown!
Today we made pomanders (oranges & cloves) for a delightful sensory-artistic experience. One ‘artist-in-residence’ created this stunning 3D sculpture (last photo)

Our state has prioritized seniors living in community settings to be in the first groups to receive the COVID vaccine!
That means that our residents will get the vaccine before older adults living at home.
We had our 1st COVID-19 Vaccine clinic today!!! Our residents and staff were among the first vaccinated and are looking forward to better days ahead!
If you have been considering senior living, there has never been a better time to move-in than right now.
Our residents will receive two doses of the vaccine over the course of three weeks and begin to build up their immunity.
Before we create a new themed board for February, we wanted capture a pic of January's board- we truly appreciate all of our families thinking of all of us over the holidays and into the New Year!! 💘🥰❤️
We all know that aging is a part of life. It’s unavoidable, but that doesn’t mean you want to think of yourself as old. You shouldn’t have to, but the fact remains that all of us at one point or another are likely to need a little help.

Boy oh boy, we just about did it all today! Make-up, Crossword Puzzles, Baking, Laundry and the day isn't even over yet!!! 💅🕺🍋🧁
Our residents have been enjoying some extra pampering this week because hey.... they deserve it!!!😉 There have been lots of mini make-overs going on over here!!! More pics to follow as we continue our pampering party all week long for both our ladies and gentlemen! 🥰

Residents have enjoyed testing out our new mini-golf putting range. It's easy quick to set up & everyone is a winner!
On Saturday morning we baked homemade cinnamon rolls...and our bakers while still in gloves & hairnets) couldn't wait to taste them. They were a big hit. Shout out to Angie P. for helping set-up, getting the group motivated!!
