I’m pretty proud at the social distancing set up and preventative measure out in place at my office building: the Bar Building in midtown Manhattan. Masks are required to enter the building. There are marks on the floor for remaining 6 feet apart. There is a new no contact thermal scanner that checks all people entering the building, and front desk staff wears masks and has a plastic sneeze shield. Only 3 people are allowed in an elevator and food deliveries have to be picked up downstairs. That’s how we can do this reopening safely. Performance Footcare open for IN PERSON OFFICE visits.
Hello from Performance Footcare! I wanted to let patient a know that we are open on a limited basis for in office visits. That being said: there have been measures put in place to ensure the safety of my patients, my staff, and me. 1. Until further notice there will only be one patient seen at a time. It is the easiest way to continue social distancing as best we can. 2. The office is wiped down with chlorox spray between each patient: this includes the office doors, the patient chair, and any surfaces patients normally come into contact with. 3. Masks and fresh gloves are worn for every patient visit from beginning to end. 4. The air circulating through the office is fresh air from outside and not recycled air. 5. My support staff is working at home, but coming in to surgically sterilize all used instruments in our office autoclave. 6. I ask all patients to not come to the office if you suspect you may have fever or any symptoms that may be consistent with Covid 19. 7. I also ask that you not to come to the office if you have knowingly been exposed to anyone who has developed flu like symptoms or, obviously, who has Covid 19. 8. If you have any pre-existing conditions that may make you susceptible to Covid-19, please consult with you PCP prior to visiting the office. 9. Of you still feel uncomfortable coming to the office for care we understand: we can provide some services via telemedicine. We are currently on a shortened schedule open Tuesday and Thursday mornings. We can make exceptions as needed. Be well. Be safe. We look forward to seeing you soon. Dr Bryon Butts.
PERFORMANCE FOOTCARE OF NEW YORK IS SCHEDULING TELEHEALTH VISITS In order to better serve our patients during this difficult time, we are now scheduling telehealth appointments for new and existing patients. If you have a smart phone with a camera (FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp) or a computer with webcam capabilities, you can now have a visit with one of our physicians in the comfort of your home. These visits are covered by insurance and no co-payment is necessary. We are also in the office on a very limited basis for evaluation of emergencies. Contact me at drb@performancefootcarenyc.com to schedule your appointment.
As we head into this Coronavirus pandemic, we at Performance Footcare are urging our patients to: Stay home and reschedule their appointments if they have a fever, a cough, or if you have recently traveled outside of the US. We encourage all patients and visitors to take these everyday preventive actions: . *Avoid contact with those who are sick • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth Stay home when you are sick • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using cleaning sprays or wipes • Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer . Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds We want to do our best to keep our patients and staff safe and illness free. We will CONTINUE to clean out office like we always have: thorough cleaning at the beginning and end of the day and a thorough wipe down of all contact surfaces and seats between uses. We wish you well and look forward to your next visit. Dr Butts
There are four common ways to treat toenail fungus. 1. Topical antifungal medications can treat mild to moderate cases if done in combination with trimming and shaving the nails. Treatment will take months. 2. Oral medication can treat moderate to severe cases so long as the patient has no liver issues. The nail still take at least 6 months to clear. 3. Laser treatment can treat moderate to severe infections, but the treatment is not covered by insurance. 4. Finally, total nail removal may be required for severe cases with total nail involvement. Sometimes we jse either a topical or an oral to the treatment. #nailfungus #nailfungustreatment #toenailtemoval #performancefootcare
