Dr. Pobst has extensive background in treatment of sports injury and performance. He is a former four-year tennis player for the University of Missouri-St. Louis and has worked as the strength and conditioning coach at his alma-mater.
He has worked with other collegiate and top level high school athletes for sport specific training and has evaluated the swing mechanics of hundreds of tennis players.
Dr. Pobst focuses primarily on research based treatment protocols that address the actual root of the problem. Dr. Pobst is certified in Functional Movement Systems, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, NeuroKinetic Therapy, as well as being a Specialized Certified Body Geometry Bike Fitter.
With these certifications comes a different kind of service than that found at a traditional chiropractic and physical therapy office. Everyone who comes here can expect a personalized treatment, one focused on results.
Each office visit is 30 minutes to one hour of one-on-one, hands-on time with Dr. Pobst. During that time he will listen to your story to learn about you and how your history can determine the approach taken to your treatment.
Dr. Pobst will also perform a functional screening to evaluate and find the true weakness that allowed for the pain and/or symptom to appear. He will likely perform some soft tissue work such as manual therapy/massage and may perform an adjustment along with physical therapy treatment.
