Carmen's first career was as a mechanical drafter, graphic artist, and technical illustrator. Before that time in her life, she taught "Image Training" and color analysis. But the profession she loves most is permanent cosmetics. Carmen started this profession in 1989 at its very beginning. She was living in Oregon at the time, and read about permanent cosmetic training in the Portland area. Carmen started her business in a very upscale beauty shop and stayed there for 6 years. Carmen went back to school and received her diploma as a skin care specialist. Carmen then went on to build a day spa with several employees specializing in skin care and permanent cosmetics. Carmen worked with three plastic surgeons doing scar camouflage, areola reconstruction, and a variety of cosmetic enhancements. When she moved to Bryan, TX, she had 3,000 clients! Her two sons, and their families were the reasons she moved to Texas.She decided to remodel the home on the property and build a new studio. Carmen and her husband love Texas, and having the studio so close to home allows her to be very flexible with her time.
