Those were the last words said by Todd Beamer, a passenger on Flight 93 that was hijacked on September 11, 2001. Todd made these powerful statements over the aircraft’s in-flight telephone and led the attempt to regain control of the plane from hijackers. During the struggle, the plane crashed into a rural Pennsylvania field, killing those onboard but saving hundreds at the intended target in Washington D.C.
Todd Beamer, only 32 years old, was survived by his wife Lisa and his three children, one of whom was born just months after Beamer died.
