🐾🐾 Groomer Spotlight Tuesday!! Vivian is our groomer at our South Charlotte location 🐾🐾
Vivian has been a part of our Pet Palace family for one year!!
Here are a few fun facts about Vivian:
1. She has been a groomer for 7 years and loves it!
2. What led her to becoming a groomer?? Vivian was working in hotel management and was growing tired of that career path. When she was younger, she worked at an animal hospital and being with the animals is where she was the happiest, so she decided on a career change! She started bathing dogs and learning from other groomers. She found she loved how beautiful the dogs looked when they were freshly groomed and decided that grooming was the career she wanted to pursue. 7 years later, she can’t imagine doing anything else!
3. Her favorite breed to groom is doodles!
4. What she enjoys most about grooming is being around the animals all day and how beautiful the pet looks when she is finished with their groom.
5. Her pet at home is a sweet little shepsky, named Kali.
6. Outside of being a groomer, she enjoys working out, reading, and learning new things!

James is our groomer at our Charlotte, NC location!! He has been a groomer since April 2018 and joined our Pet Palace family 2 months ago! Here are a few fun facts about James:
1. How long have you been a groomer?
🐾 I started training to become a groomer in
April of 2018!
2. What led you to becoming a groomer?
🐾 Outside of work, I love doing art. In my early
20’s I always told myself I wanted a job where
I didn’t have to sit in an office all day and
wanted to work with my hands. Once I
learned that I could learn how to groom
and mix my love of animals with my creativity,
I took the jump and changed careers!
3. What is your favorite breed to groom?
🐾 I love grooming standard poodles and
australian shepherds. Bernese mountain
dogs are up there too!
4. What do you enjoy most about grooming?
🐾 What I love most is helping make the pet,
and pet parents, happy. I love helping pets in
need (matted, over grown, long nails, etc.)
as well as seeing their parents reaction to
what I’ve done for them. Being able to be
creative is another plus! I love when parents
tell me to do what I like and I can allow my
visions come to life!
5. Do you have any pets?
🐾 I have 2 cats, Apollo and Mars, and a ferret,
Eris (we will be adding a second ferret to the
family soon)
6. What hobbies do you enjoy outside of work?
🐾 I enjoy spending time with my animals, and
when I have a chance, I do digital paintings of
portraits. I also like hanging out with friends
and going on small road trips to new places!

During the month of October, we like to bring special attention to our amazing groomers, who’s job is to absolutely pamper your pets ❤️
Tina is one of two groomers at our Hilliard location! She has been a groomer for almost 7 years and has been a part of our Pet Palace family for 12 years!!! She was led to becoming a groomer when a position opened at our facility! She had been interested in grooming, so it was something that she couldn’t resist, and we’re so thankful she did! Her favorite breed to groom is shihpoos and shih tzus, she just loves their spunky personalities! She enjoys getting to interact with our customers and their pets. The best part of grooming is seeing the owners smile when they first see their furry family member after being groomed. Tina has 3 dogs and 4 cats of her own ❤️ Outside of work, she enjoys kayaking in the summer or any activities near the water. She also loves working out and snuggling with her pets on the couch watching a good scary movie! Thank you for all you do Tina, we are so lucky to have you!!!!!

Amanda is our newest groomer at our Delaware location, joining us one month ago! She has been grooming for 2 and a half years! She has always had a love for animals and was interested in grooming, so she decided to change her career path so she could be creative and make pets (and their owners) happy!! She absolutely loves grooming golden retrievers because they are so fun and have wonderful personalities! Making a connection with the pets and their parents is one thing she loves about grooming. She also loves meeting new people and seeing others with so much love for their furry family members. She has 4 rescued pets, 2 dogs and 2 cats! Outside of work, Amanda enjoys hiking, going on nature walks with her family, doing arts and crafts with her daughter, and watching movies ❤️

Jennifer is one of our groomers at two of our locations, Delaware and Columbus Airport. She has been grooming for 11 years and has been with Pet Palace for 3 years!!! Before she became a groomer, she was a bather, allowing relationships to build between her and the pet. She enjoyed this so much, she decided to become a groomer, which allowed her to use her creativity on each pet. Her favorite pup to groom is Bernese mountain dogs, the big fluffy dogs ❤️ Developing bonds between the pets and their owners is one thing she loves about grooming. She also takes pride in contributing to keeping the pets healthy with the knowledge she has to help owners with any issues she may notice during the groom. She has 5 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 turtles!!! Outside of Pet Palace, she enjoys training dogs to do agility, working out, and enjoying nature!

Dorian is one of our groomers at our Cleveland location!! She has been grooming for over 20 years!! Dorian joined the Pet Palace family 4 years ago ❤️ Growing up, her mom owed a salon, which is where Dorian spent a lot of her childhood. She has always loved dogs, so she decided to combine her two passions and become a pet groomer! She loves that she grooms different dogs on a daily basis, but grooming the senior pups that she has groomed and watched grow over the years is her favorite. She enjoys the creativity and variety of being a groomer the most. At home, Dorian has 4 pets, 3 dogs and 1 cat. Outside of grooming she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and enjoying nature. She also enjoys art of any kind, from painting to stained glass to drawing ❤️.

This is a unique groomer spotlight because it’s also a “see you later, we wish you the best” post. Kim’s last day with us was Sunday, but she had been our groomer at our Columbus Airport location for the past 6 years!!! She has been grooming for 11 years because she has such a strong love for animals. Her favorite breed to groom is border collies. Her favorite thing about grooming is the interaction with clients and their pets, building such a special relationship with both. She has 3 cats at home! Outside of work, she enjoys reading and furthering her education in grad school. We wish you the absolute best of luck Kim with your internship and your future career. We sure will miss you, but we appreciate you for everything you have done for our pets and clients over the past 6 years 💜💜💜
🐾We would like to recognize Dixie, she is a groomer at our Fishers facility!!! 🐾. Dixie has been grooming since 1996! She had been a part of the Pet Palace family since the Fishers location opened in 2017. Growing up, her dad was involved with rescuing all kinds of injured animals, so she has always had a special connection to animals, which is what led to her becoming a groomer. Her favorite breed to groom is shih tzus, over time she has become known as “The Shih Tzu whisperer”. She enjoys the connections she has made with the owners and their babies. She feels like she is family to many of her “fur family” ❤️. She has 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 fish at home. Outside of grooming, she enjoys spending time with her family and shopping with her mom once a week 💜.
