During the transitional phase into a raw food diet, the first 7 – 14 days, your pet may experience some digestive upset including gas, loose stools, mucous in stool, and may even vomit bile (yellow or white phlegm). Not all pets experience this and most that do is often temporary.
Here are some tips to help make a smooth transition:
💡 Start with chicken or turkey diets as they are easy to digest proteins
💡 Serve the food warmed to enhance food aromas
💡 Offer ½ the serving, then wait 10 – 20 min before offering remaining portion to prevent eating too quickly and regurgitating the food
