Shelters see an increase of surrenders in the months following the holiday season, and we want to make sure that even though those pets are scared and confused, we are still doing our part to take care of them.

Today the counsel announced that November 10th will now be known as PetSuites Erlanger Day for the City of Erlanger! Watch from 4:10-7:05 to see the reading of the proclamation by Mayor Fette; who then bestows a key to the city to Brandon, Sarah and Cortney. We are so appreciative to have been honored like this today and hope to celebrate many more years of exceptional pet care as Erlanger's official pet resort!

💖 Meet Gravy 💖
This spunky little girl is a 2 month old Bluetick Coonhound who currently weighs 10ish lbs. Gravy is the goof of her litter mates. She is the last to wake up, the loudest barker at meal time and always the first to fall right back to sleep. Compared to her siblings, her bursts of puppy energy are much shorter lived, but when she does get playing, she is by far the roughest of the bunch. She is fostered in a home with small children, other dogs, large and small and gets along great with them all. Gravy would make a great addition to any family and will likely be a medium sized dog when fully grown. My name is Oscar! I can't wait to meet you! I hope that you love dogs. I hope you are a confident dog leader. If you aren't I'm liable to take advantage of you(not in a good way). I have been wonderful at my foster's house but I can be a little head strong. If you have confidence in your ability to be a great dog parent I want to meet you. I love being outside so I hope you have a fenced yard. I get along well with other dogs but if you're going to have little humans visit I hope they don't stay long. You will want to put me in a different room cause they stress me out. I'm not crazy about going to the vet or the groomer so you will have to earn my trust first then teach me how to trust them. I absolutely love toys and all dogs and humans I meet. I have no experience with cats. I’m fearless, which can sometimes get me into trouble so I constantly need a watchful eye.

🐹💖Meet Snow and Maple 💖🐹
This pair of male guinea pigs were surrendered to our shelter when their owner was moving and could not take them with her. We do not know their exact ages, but we do know they are both adults. They seem to be bonded and ideally, we would like to have them adopted together to a home that is knowledgeable about the species.
They have not been with us for very long and are a bit nervous and flighty which is understandable. Hopefully, in their new future homes, they will become more comfortable once they are less stressed.
Adopters will need to have their own cage/set-up for these two and be knowledgeable about the species.

Who needs a little Sunshine in their life? Me…I’m Sunshine. I’m about 3 months old, 3lbs and said to be a poodle mix. I was born with a severe birth deformity and had to have my leg amputated. You wouldn’t know I only have 3 legs because it certainly doesn’t slow me down…. just ask my foster mom. She calls me the energizer bunny. I am working on potty and crate training, but I am just a baby and haven’t perfected them yet. Foster Mom says I have a big bark and can be pretty demanding for such a tiny puppy. Playing, napping, cuddling and belly rubs are some of my favorite things. I am fostered with several mature dogs of varying sizes but haven’t been around cats. I am comfortable with men and kids. I’m a big love and I’m waiting for the perfect furever family to adopt me. Pick me, Love me! 🌺 Meet Joli 🌺
Meet Joli, a beautiful 4 month old 25 lb Australian shepherd mix!! This sweet girl LOVES to play with other dogs and chew on bones before snuggling up for a nap. She will need a furry friend in the home that can help her become confident and will entertain her puppy play! She is nervous in new situations, but is quickly learning that there are good humans that will love her. She picks up cues from her furry friends quickly. She has met small and medium dogs and gets along with all her four legged friends. She loves to run around the backyard with them. She has also met cats and likes to watch them, occasionally trying to get them to play.
Joli is working on potty training and crate training. She is also working on properly greeting friends, she just gets so excited she sometimes forgets to keep four on the floor.
