Dr. Philip Biderman is a general surgeon who offers consultations in Encino and Toluca Lake and performs procedures at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank and The Specialty Surgical Center of Encino. Dr. Biderman has been in practice for more than 30 years. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then completed his general surgery residency training at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center and advanced urology training at Kaiser Permanente-Edgemont. He earlier earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the City University of New York, and graduate studies in public health and business administration from Columbia University.
Prior to joining UCLA Health, Dr. Biderman was in private practice in Sherman Oaks from 1986 to 2019. He also served as Chief of General Surgery at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center and as the Chief of Staff at the Motion Picture and Television Hospital.
