Incorporated in 1973, Phoenix is nonprofit business that provides jobs, job placements and other services for people with disabilities. Phoenix served more than 1,200 people in 2012, providing them with jobs, job placements and other supportive services. Also in 2012, Phoenix employed 595 people who worked in janitorial or administrative jobs under several of its service contracts, including at Redstone Arsenal, one of our main customers.
A sprawling nonprofit business, Phoenix manufactures at least 15 percent of the burial flags the government gives to military families at its 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility, along with parachute harnesses for the Army, carrying straps and equipment bags for the TOW missile, and high-quality embroidered products for businesses, churches and other organizations.
