Sometimes being perfect with what we’re doing to achieve our goals can create unsustainable habits and can ultimately be demotivating.
When starting your journey to reach your goals, your focus should be on two initial things. The first being developing a consistent gym routine, not a perfect one. Start small and realistic with days per week and just make it your goal to make it to the gym and not miss one of those days. Your second focus should be food and again, consistent routine, not a perfect one. Avoiding processed foods and maintaining either a caloric deficit or surplus based on your goals is a great place to start!
Exercise and eating right is a healthy lifestyle and is something we should just be doing, not just for people who have goals to look different. So keep the changes you’re making to your lifestyle small over time and it will pay off in the long run.
