From the entire Piedmont family. We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our beloved customers, Ken Beatrice. He was so much more than a customer. A number of us at Piedmont Tire and Auto grew up listening to Ken on the radio. He was a very popular host of a sports radio program called "sports call". And his famous phrase was "you're next on sports call" I personally called him a number of times. My brother spoke with him hundreds of times. We all loved to sit by the radio and listen to him and his Boston Accent. He was smart, witty, funny and full of life. To this day, all the other radio sports broadcasters try to live up to his standards. Ken was always willing to talk to you. He would come into the shop and you could talk to him for an hour. I would run into him at Wegmans and just talk to him. He was very charismatic and he made everyone around him a better person.
Ken, we are going to miss you. And we are here for your wife if she ever needs us. She came by the shop today and it was very nice to see her.
We are going to miss you down here, but YOU'RE NEXT up in heavan. Rest in peace my freind.
