First to Review
My review is long overdue, as I'm not in the habit of leaving them. Once in a while, we come across a real gem of a person. And somewhat occasionally we work with someone who impresses us with their ability to not just "talk a good talk", but actually DELIVER. And not just deliver, but deliver in a way which leaves no doubt that they have your best interests in mind. And do so in a way that shows that they're not just doing it because it's "their livelihood", but because they sincerely WANT to help you achieve your goal, and in fact share that same goal - in this case to sell your home and make you a profit you will be proud of. We found all of the above when we selected Tina Pilot to help us sell our home in Brick, NJ. We found Tina via basic internet searches, after we had had someone from a different agency stop by to see the property. I don't wish to give names, but let me just say that the agency we first contacted had been recommended by a coworker who had used them to sell his mother's home after it had grown stale from sitting on the market for many months. The coworker advised that if we wanted to get rid of the house quickly, this other agency had a reputation for selling properties with lightening speed. Sounded good to us, initially. The agent came. We had three major reservations: 1) The price he advised we list the home at was clearly a lowball figure, and one that was designed to pretty much guarantee us the quick sale they stake their reputation on. 2) All indication was that they operate much like a factory, with no real interest in doing anything other than selling properties quickly and moving on to the next. 3) Lastly, we hoped they could provide us with a designated agent with good knowledge of the area, but learned that they sort of "share" the listings in that whomever is available at the time the agent is needed (for example to meet with a prospective buyer) would show up from well beyond the area. "This way", the guy explained, "we always have someone who can show up". The property was my husband's first home. He purchased it right out of college, and he had taken excellent care of it over the 20+ years he lived there. While it was nothing fancy and could probably use some updating (needed no repairs), we both knew the home had much to offer someone looking for a ranch in the area. That's when we decided to see what other options we could find.
We are immensely grateful that we found Tina Pilot. We contacted her and immediately felt like we were speaking with someone who cared; someone with the capacity to actually give a damn about more than herself and her own interests. Her positive energy, cheerful motivation, determination, sincerity, and real sense humor - combined with her extensive knowledge of the area - gave us great hope. We met with her and took her through the house. Her mutual appreciation for all the property had to offer sealed the decision on what had already become a no brainer. Well, wouldn't you know that Tina Pilot was able to get us multiple competing offers - all ranging from $35,000 to $60,000 MORE THAN the other agent had proposed (yep, you heard that right. And we're talking about a home that sold for $335,000, not a multi-million dollar mansion). Tina Pilot was able to sell our home for $60,000 over what the other agent had proposed - and within a couple weeks of it having been listed. She did this with ease, with class, with style, with humor and with a beautiful energy that we will never forget or lose immense appreciation for. THANK YOU, TINA!
