The number of Americans needing physical therapy care has gone up tremendously this year. And unfortunately, Medicare is about to impose devastating payment cuts that will make it much harder for patients to access PTs and PTAs to get the physical therapy care they need. Already, with your help, the APTA has reported 25,000 letters were sent to Medicare opposing the 9% cut. Thank you! However, we still need you to ask Congress to pass legislation that will prevent the 9% cut. With the current instability in the health care system, now is not the time to reduce payment to providers under the Medicare program.
