About Dr. Eileen M. Nugent
Eileen M. Nugent, D.O., is an experienced doctor who provides outstanding care for patients at her practice, Pittsford Osteopathic Medicine, in Pittsford, New York.
Dr. Nugent attended Daemen College in Amherst, New York, graduating in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She later went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work in New York City in 1992, before enrolling at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. Dr. Nugent graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 1998.
While studying for her medical degree, Dr. Nugent was active in the Undergraduate American Academy of Osteopathy (UAAO), serving as its president. She was awarded a Teaching Fellowship in Anatomy and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine in 1997. Dr. Nugent completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon, Michigan, which is part of the Statewide Campus System of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Nugent is a Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. She is also an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Osteopathy and The Osteopathic Cranial Academy.
In the 20 years since she started her practice, Dr. Nugent has provided both primary care services and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) for her patients. She is now focusing on Traditional Osteopathy, as a Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, (NMM-OMM), board certified specialist. Dr. Nugent treats patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults, including women during pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
