September 3rd is our reopening date, and we are counting down the days with great delight.
In addition to putting COVID-19 safeguards in place, we have performed a series of capital improvements to enhance further the charm, comfort, safety, and ambiance of Planters Inn.
We recently installed state-of-the-art air conditioning and air filtration systems. At the same time, South Carolina's top craftsmen completed a meticulous restoration of our historic heart pine floors. From freshly painted walls and steam-cleaned carpets to new plants blooming in the courtyard, Planters Inn is in pristine condition.

After having to cancel our first planned to trip to Charleston due to COVID-19 we could not be more happy with our stay or accommodations. The hotel was spotless, masks required everywhere...including the city itself (couldn’t have felt safer). Dining tables, both indoors and out, were socially distanced with hand sanitizer on every table. Staff wore masks and all dining utensils were wrapped. Rooms were spacious and had views of the city and the beautiful piazza at the hotel. Due to the virus there were no options for a hot breakfast, a continental breakfast fit for a Queen was the alternative with fresh baked muffins, your choice of cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt always took my muffin to go for an afternoon snack ;). The on-site restaurant, Peninsula Grill, was superb! Highly recommend their valet service, never waited longer than 5 minutes for our car. I could go on and on...beyond happy! Can not fail to mention Tristen at the front desk, she helped us pick the perfect room, offered suggestions of things to do and was the sweetest person all around!
