Recently, much focus has been placed on testing for COVID-19 (current and past infection), and with several types of tests now available, it might be confusing to know which, if any, you may need. We are encouraging our patients to visit one of our providers (virtual or in-person) to discuss testing. If you are eligible, our providers and staff will then arrange for this testing. Walk-ins are welcomed.
If you need an office visit but are concerned regarding the recent COVID-19 health crisis, please call us to discuss booking a telehealth visit which can be done in the privacy and safety of your home! We also want our patients to know that if you would like to see your healthcare provider in person, you have the option to wait in your vehicle if you are concerned about waiting in our waiting room. UPDATE: Plattsburgh Medical Care has implemented several changes to our policies in response to the Coronavirus outbreak and continuing seasonal flu.
1. All patients that are coming to the office as a walk-in for an upper respiratory issue (cough, fever, chills, sore throat, congestion, etc.) need to contact the office before coming in. You will be screened by a member of our clinical staff via phone.
2. All sick patients need to do a curb check-in when they arrive. You will need to stay in your car and call or text 518-333-7191 (this number is ONLY for check-in). If texting, please provide your name, date of birth, make/model/color of your car to allow our staff to locate you. Well patients may also use this option as well.
3. We are also keeping our well, and sick patients separated and increasing room cleaning.
Also, please continue to watch for details on how you will be able to schedule a video eVisit with your provider as well.
With the growing number of Coronavirus cases in the US and flu cases continuing to be reported Plattsburgh Medical Care is committed to providing our patients high-quality care in a safe environment. We would like to remind our patients that they can use their patient portal to access the eVisits feature rather than coming to the office for certain conditions. If you don't yet have access to your patient portal please call the office and a receptionist can provide you with an access code.

Due to the severe weather, Plattsburgh Medical Care will be closing at 4:00 PM today, February 2, 2021. We will re-open for normal business hours on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
