Expectant mothers in need of urgent care can now visit a new obstetrics emergency department at South Shore Hospital. The new obstetrics emergency is a first of its kind in Massachusetts. It’s meant for women who are at least 20 weeks pregnant or up to six weeks postpartum and may be experiencing a pregnancy-related emergency.
