Beginning Monday, September 14, Port City Pediatrics will be moving to a new Electronic Health Record system (EHR). Our doctors feel this new system will be very beneficial to our process of taking care of our patients. This has been a very long process to reach our “go live” on Monday. In the short term, we kindly ask that you exercise a little patience with our staff in the next few weeks as we go from practice to the “real thing.”
Also this system will have a new portal for patients to access called MyChart. We will be rolling out information on how to sign up for the new portal through Facebook, on our website, and in the office. We encourage you to sign up!
We appreciate your understanding through this process. Change is seldom easy, but the rewards make it worthwhile. Thanks!
Our office will be closing today at 2:30 for more staff training. Our phones will be forwarded to our after hours service. If you need a med refill, please call before 2:30. Thanks so much!
Last week we installed a new phone system that will hopefully deal with the problem of dropped calls. However since the installation we have had several reports of consistent busy signals when patients are trying to contact us. We think the problem may be that people are calling us at our old number 739-2121. Please make sure you are calling us at 737-0411. We are working to correct the problem. Thanks for your patience, and we apologize for any inconvenience...technology upgrades never go as smoothly as you hope!
Our office will be closed this Friday afternoon, August 28, for staff training. We are open in the morning until 12:00 PM. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
We have changed our phone system to allow those with covid concerns/questions to press "0" and leave a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
The phone nurses have been swamped with calls today. Please be patient, but please do not come into the office to ask questions in person. We understand everyone's anxiety with covid, but they are working as fast as they can to get all the calls answered, and we are trying to limit the number of people coming into the office. Thanks!
Please, please limit patient escorts to one person. With the rapid increase in covid cases across the state we want to limit the number of people in the office for everyone's safety. Thanks for your understanding!
We must have your current ID and your insurance card when you come in for an appointment. With our new system we need to make copies for our file. We appreciate your cooperation!!!
We drew our November winner of a $50 Meijer gift card today. Remember to bring in your completed ASQ paperwork to be automatically entered into that month's drawing. The paperwork is so helpful to the doctors! Thanks!!!
We are currently having some phone system problems and are unable to forward our calls to our weekend service. If you are experiencing an urgent matter, please go to an Urgent Call Center. Do not wait. Our tech support is working on the problem and hopefully will have the problem fixed shortly. Thanks for your understanding!
We have posted some new information regarding covid on our website. Check out "COVID 19 MESSAGE" by clicking on www.portcitypediatrics.com. Thanks!
