Not even the owners of Poseidon are immune to a water loss. At 9pm on a Friday, during the process of a remodel, we had a condensate pump failure in the 2nd floor mechanical room. The secret to limiting damage is to Stop the source of water, remove necessary building materials, clean the surfaces, and DRY DRY DRY. Luckily we caught this very early, equipment will run over the weekend, and we can most likely continue the bathroom remodel Monday.

Explains the features and benefits of each solution. Obtains agreement for services and/or installation before performing work. • Installs, inspects, repairs and maintains water, gas and sewer lines and systems. Clears clogged lines and repairs leaks. • Repairs and installs plumbing pipes, traps, washbowls, fittings, drains, sprinklers, backflow preventers, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, disposals, water softeners and faucets. • Locates and marks position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors, using ruler, spirit level and plumb bob. • Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools. • Cuts and threads pipe using pipe cutters, cutting torch and pipe threading machine. Bends pipe to required angle. • Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings and pipes composed of metals, glass, vitrified clay and plastic, using hand tools and power tools. • Joins pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder and plastic solvent and by caulking joints. • Responds to emergencies and/or service calls and troubleshoots plumbing problems for resolution. • Ensures that all plumbing repairs and installations are accurate, serviceable and meet code parameters. Ensures that materials used and workmanship meets specifications and plumbing code. • Provides cost estimates for residential plumbing services. • Contacts supervisor or dispatch to discuss any problems on the job. • Maintains and fuels vehicle and stocks the service truck with adequate parts. • Transports materials and tools to the job site and provides proper accounting of tools. • Completes all required documentation on services and collects, records and delivers fees to the office. • Provides on-the-job training and support to assigned Apprentice Helpers. • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area. • Observes all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties. • Other duties as assigned. Essential Technical Skills • Know the techniques for sizing water supply systems • Be able to diagnose and repair water supply and drainage piping, water heaters and other appliances and fixtures. • Understanding of modern technology to invoice clients in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements • Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record • Successful completion of a background investigation and clean background report.
