We wrapped up our Fall Tree Sale yesterday, and all we have to say is...wow. THANK YOU!!
We sold 559 trees, totaling $29,450 in gross sales. PLUS nearly $2,000 in donations to the Nature Center.
We are in awe. Our hearts are warm. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support. We can’t wait to see all your new trees grow big and strong for future generations!

Trees are available in a variety of prices, sizes and species. Sales close at noon on Monday, Sept. 28. Pick up will be Oct. 15 & 16 (times TBD). Proceeds support the Nature Center’s recovery from storm damage and ongoing land restoration. Thanks to a generous donation from @seed_savers_exchange, 100% of the proceeds from the historic varieties of apple trees will go to ICNC recovery from the derecho.

We’ve begun evacuating our rarest plants and motherblocks! Fires are 4 miles away, but they jump. My collection of rare Tropicals from Thailand were all moved. Outdoors plants are fried from low humidity, high winds, high temperatures and smoke. No panic. Just methodological removal of the irreplaceable.

Tree Debris Update
The trees continue to pile up in Marion, Iowa. Here's look at the local tree debris site today, Sept. 1, 2020, three weeks after a wind storm called a derecho, with winds topping 130 mph, destroyed thousands of trees in the community. Clean up continues, 12 hours a day, with those big black trucks hauling trees to this location. Feel free to share.
