About Dr. Durand
Since 1999, Prangnuan Durand, DO, has been providing personable and compassionate care at her family medicine practice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Prangnuan "Edie" Durand or Dr. Durand, takes an integrative and holistic approach to care, combining her medical knowledge and training with alternative therapies to ensure her adult patients of all ages get the well-rounded, whole-person care they need for optimal health.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Georgia in Athens, Dr. Durand went on to earn her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale. She continued her training and completed a family medicine residency at Nova Southeastern University at Broward General Medical Center, also in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Durand is board-certified in both family medicine and hospice and palliative care.
Dr. Durand is an osteopathic physician and has extensive training in the musculoskeletal system, which provides her with the ability to discern how a particular injury or condition might directly affect other parts of the body. Additionally, because of her background in pharmacology, Dr. Durand has a deep understanding of drug interactions, which is essential for the treatment of her geriatric patients who may be taking multiple medications to manage their chronic health conditions.
She also specializes in anti-aging therapy, provides exceptional physician-supervised weight loss programs, and uses CBD oil when appropriate as a natural alternative to prescription medication.
To better serve the needs of her diverse community, Dr. Durand is fluent in English and Thai.
