Ultrasound-Guided Platelet Rich Plasma injection for partial rotator cuff tear is an effective procedure that leads to significant decrease in pain, improvement in shoulder functions and healing properties.
Have you tried Cupping??? Cupping allows for increased blood flow and oxygen to reach affected areas, which can help with muscle relaxation. This treatment can be beneficial in reducing trigger points, improving myofascial tissue tension, and reducing pain.
A trigger point injection can help soothe muscle pain, especially in your arms, legs, lower back and neck. It also can be used to treat fibromyalgia, tension headaches and myofascial pain. Trigger points are painful “knots” in your muscles. They form when a muscle can’t relax. Sometimes you can feel these knots when you rub your muscle. Injecting small amounts of anesthetic and steroid into the trigger point can help alleviate the pain.
—— 🔬To obtain PRP, blood is drawn from a vein and the whole blood is centrifuged, or rapidly spun. 💫💫💫 —— Centrifuging separates the plasma serum where the platelets are concentrated and the result is a platelet rich plasma. After the PRP is treated, it is injected 💉 back into the patient's injured area of soft tissue. —— Injections of a patient’s own PRP stimulate the body’s local cells to wake up and start repairing damaged tissues. So PRP is like a shot of espresso ☕️ for our repairman 👨🏽‍🔧cells. PRP is used to treat many orthopedic conditions, such as muscle, ligament, and tendon tears, sprains, arthritis, and much more.
PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma, which is when platelets are concentrated from whole blood. Your blood contains platelets, which have healing growth factors inside them, and these are what not only help clot a wound but also heal that damage. By increasing the number of these healing platelets through a centrifugation protocol, doctors hope to be able to enhance healing.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by swelling or compression of the median nerve as it passes through the carpal tunnel from the forearm into the hand. The carpal tunnel is a narrow space, and swelling within or around it can compress the median nerve and lead to the development of symptoms, such as tingling and numbness and pain, on the thumb side of the hand up to the ring finger. Muscle weakness can also occur. There are numerous causes of carpal tunnel syndrome, some are due to associated medical problems. Tendinopathy (swelling of the tendons), synovitis (swelling and inflammation of the tendon sheaths) or joint swellings around the carpal tunnel can also cause symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. The corticosteroid injection should reduce inflammation or swelling in and around the median nerve, the flexor tendons and the tendon sheaths, which in turn should relieve your symptoms.
Weak gluteal muscles can lead to overcompensation in the pelvis, therefore, causing back pain. When the gluteal muscles are weak, people often use their back muscles for activities such as lifting objects from the ground causing pain. Knowing how to activate ones gluteal muscles will take stress off of the back, therefore, decreasing pain. These exercises are a great way to strengthen your glutes.
CVA (Stroke) rehab combines strength, stability, manual treatment, and balance. The goal is to reconnect the neuromuscular system to regain proper movement and break the synergies of being restricted.
Thoracic spinal adjustment is a quick and safe way to increase mobility in a stiff part of the back and decrease pain. Combining this treatment with soft tissue and modalities allows the surrounding muscles function without restriction.
Ankle fractures can be some of the most debilitating lower extremity injuries. A single degree change in joint position can change the weight bearing by 40%. If the injury is sever and surgery is required, getting the right rehab is key. Knowing how to return the mobility, strength, and proprioception while preserving and protecting the repair ( will make the difference in how you return to function) or takes skill and knowledge of a good therapist.
The most important aspect of Rotator cuff repair surgery is protecting and maintaining the actual repair. Most people will wear a sling anywhere from 2-6 weeks depending on your surgeons orders. Being immobilized is great for healing but not so good for the joint. The shoulder needs to move to prevent it from being stiff or worse case becoming frozen. We work on passive range of motion to start movement in a safe and protected way. By guarding the joint and knowing how far to stretch the shoulder. After a rotator cuff repair surgery, people over compensate for lack of movement with their upper trapezius muscle. This leads to tension in the muscle, could lead to neck pain, and tension headaches. It’s also a poor movement strategy. It’s important to treat that muscle with soft tissue massage and any other modality that will stop the over compensation and tension.
Tennis Elbow Lateral epicondylitis is inflammation of your wrist extension tendons. This is primarily an overuse injury. They key to recovery is decreasing the inflammation, modifying how you use your arm, and rest. In therapy we work on reducing the inflammation, pain and regaining movement.
Our Physical and Occupational Therapists will customize a physical therapy rehabilitation plan just for you We offer a wide range of services designed to help our patients get back to their normal daily activities as quickly and safely as possible, pain free. Whether it’s a sports injury, workplace injury, chronic condition, or nagging pain, our therapists are trained to create specialized, targeted programs to help you feel better and get back to the activities you love.
A hip labral tear is an injury to a band of cartilage surrounding the hip joint called the labrum. Often the result of repetitive activities, including long-distance running and other sports that involve twisting and turning Physical therapy for hip labral tears is commonly sought out by those with more active lifestyles. Some people find it more difficult to perform the activities they love, like running. Causes for a hip labral tear include: * Running, especially if you’re running a lot without proper strength training * Sports like hockey and soccer that require repetitive twisting movements and lots of cutting movements. * An accident that causes trauma * Simple wear and tear of the muscles around the hip Many are able to treat hip labral pain and other kinds of hip pain through a course in physical therapy
