Born in Romania, Dr. Mihnea Dumitrescu of Precision Regenerative & Functional Medicine located in West Lake Hills, Texas, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin and attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. He has lived in the United States since 1990 when he soon discovered his passion for musculoskeletal, spine and sports medicine. He went on to complete his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans followed by an Interventional Spine/Pain Management fellowship under Charles Aprill, MD.
He founded Precision Pain Consultants in 2007 in Austin, Texas, as a mainly interventional sports and spine clinic. Over the past 5 years, his practice became focused on all aspects of Regenerative Medicine, for both peripheral musculoskeletal conditions and spine disorders. More recently, Precision Pain Consultants has also added Precision Nutrition Consultants, and became Precision Regenerative and Functional Medicine, with the aim of solving long-standing pain problems through a combined Regenerative and Functional Medicine approach.
At present, his practice is focused on Regenerative Medicine, Functional Medicine, with the aim of injury and chronic disease prevention and age management through total health optimization.
Dr. Dumitrescu believes that Regenerative Medicine and Functional Medicine approaches to care can combine to unlock healing potential and re-establish the healthy lifestyle that his patients deserve.
