Anita Banerjee, MD, FACC, is the experienced cardiology specialist at Premier Cardiac and Vascular in Springfield, Virginia. She is a female cardiologist and patient-centered physician who, instead of just prescribing medications, focuses on helping her patients make lifestyle changes to improve heart health.
After earning her medical degree from Odessa State Medical University in Odessa, Ukraine, Dr. Banerjee went on to complete her residency training in internal medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in the Bronx, New York. She remained there to complete her fellowship in cardiovascular disease. Dr, Banerjee also completed a research fellowship in heart failure under the supervision of Edmund H. Sonnenblick, MD and Thierry LeJemtel, MD.
Dr. Banerjee provides comprehensive cardiology care, managing high blood pressure and cholesterol, as well as atrial fibrillation, aneurysms, and strokes. She is a patient-centered clinician and uses advanced techniques to evaluate and improve cardiovascular health.
She is certified in cardiovascular diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Banerjee is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and holds a Virginia state medical license.
