Dr. Cardenas completed his undergraduate studies at Maryville University in St. Louis, where he graduated with honors. He went on to receive his doctorate from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago. His postdoctoral training included a three-year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at SSM DePaul Health Center in St. Louis, where he served as chief resident.
To stay on top of the latest medical advancements, Dr. Cardenas continues to educate himself and has completed courses in many areas, including ankle arthroscopy and podiatric tendon transfer.
Dr. Cardenas enjoys hospital privileges at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital and Anderson Hospital, and is also fluent in Spanish, enabling him to reach more patients.
