We would like to introduce our newest practitioner, Rachel Beaudette. She is a certified Prosthetist/Orthotist who has recently moved back to Lincoln after practicing for 4 years in south central Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska - Lincoln during her undergrad and received her Masters in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016. Rachel enjoys seeing patients of all ages and is excited to get back to treating patients in the home of the Huskers.
Check out what a big difference a well aligned brace can make! This KAFO was delivered last week and is crucial in getting the leg back into a safe and protected position which is providing this patient with much needed relief.
A KAFO or a “knee ankle foot orthosis” is a long leg brace that can be beneficial for protecting and realigning the knee and ankle joints and are customized to each individual patient’s needs.
All smiles today at this helmet consult follow-up. This little lady is making good progress all on her own and we decided today that a helmet isn’t needed.
Did you know that scheduling a helmet consult at our office doesn’t necessarily mean your child will need a cranial helmet? We monitor your child’s growth patterns and determine a treatment plan based on their progress. Did we mention that these consults are free?!
We must have had the “luck of the Irish” to be able to share this special day with one of our favorites. Happy 7th Birthday, Henry! You’ll have us smiling for the rest of the week.
Don’t forget to wear your crazy socks this Sunday, March 21st in support of World Down Syndrome Day. Like Henry’s sticker says, “We love our homies with extra chromies!”
Just like your kids, pediatric bracing comes in all sorts of fun shapes and sizes!
At Premier, we know that one size/style of brace does not fit all. We work closely with your children and their physicians/therapists to find a style of brace that will best meet their specific individual needs. Needing new braces? Give us a call!
