FYI Highlands Medical Center | Scottsboro, Alabama January 27 at 10:00 AM · HMC does not anticipate getting any more COVID-19 vaccine; therefore, we are no longer accepting patients onto a waiting list to receive the vaccine. If your physician office sent us paperwork to put you on the HMC waiting list and you have not yet been given your first dose of the vaccine, you will not receive the vaccine at HMC. Anyone who received their first dose of COVID vaccine at HMC will get their second dose at HMC. When receiving the first dose, patients were given a card noting the date to return to HMC for their second dose. COVID-19 vaccinations for people in group 1A and those age 75 and over are being given at the Jackson County Health Department in Scottsboro.
