Darryl has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, honing his skills in University, hotel, corporate dining, country club and senior living settings. His work has taken him to Pennsylvania, Michigan and North Carolina, but he has lived and worked in the Athens area since 1998. Darryl finds great joy in sharing his talents with others, including his church, Family Promise of Athens, and Habitat for Humanity, among others. Darryl is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business with a BBA in Marketing. He is also a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Darryl is excited to welcome you home to PVA and we are happy to have him on our team.

As an Athens, Georgia native, Kait began volunteering and working for senior living communities at a young age and developed a passion for it. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, pursued the opportunity to live abroad in Europe, and then spent 3 years in Chicago, Illinois where she planned large scale events for a non-profit service organization. Kait joined us at Presbyterian Village Athens in October of 2020 and is happy to have made her way back home to Georgia. She has a warm and energetic personality and loves developing meaningful relationships with residents. Kait will always strive to create new and engaging activities for the entire community.

Presbyterian Village Athens is excited to welcome Gina Hobbs to our team! She is the Director of Activities for our Health Services Residents. Read more about Gina and her experiences below:
Gina joined the Presbyterian Village Athens team in October of 2020. She was born and raised in South Georgia. Now she and her husband, Mike, make their home in Watkinsville. She has ten years of experience in the healthcare industry facilitating activities in independent living, assisted living and memory care. Certified through the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals (NCCAP), she is looking forward to meeting the needs of our residents in Health Services through a holistic approach to activities which engages the entire person. Her passion for working with senior adults is evident as she plans person-centered activities to meet the unique and ever-changing needs of our residents.

Mike Dollander joined Presbyterian Homes of Georgia, Inc. in September 2020. He is a resident of Oconee county, along with his wife, Jennifer, and 5 children. He is a graduate of The University of Georgia Terry College of Business and holds degrees in Risk Management and Physical Therapy. Mike has over 20 years experience in healthcare as a practitioner, assisted living home owner, administrator and vice president of operations for multiple regional healthcare providers.

Margie joined PHG in the fall of 2020 as Director of Human Resources. Margie has over 20 years of Human Resources experience, 16 of which were in long term healthcare. She began her healthcare career back in the fall of 1999 as a benefits coordinator with one of the largest healthcare firms. Margie worked up the ranks to become Regional HR Manager. Margie is a graduate of Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach Alabama, where she earned a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. She will be utilizing her education and past experience to positively shape the community.
