Therapists, Michelle Rice Alvarez and Jackie Griffin, bring 40 years of experience and offer specialized One on One patient care. Manual techniques are incorporated for pain relief, edema control and scar tissue management to optimize function. Both Michelle and Jackie are certified Lymphedema Therapists with a special interest in women issues including pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence and breast cancer care. Treatments incorporate advanced manual techniques to address individual specific needs. Our goal is to provide each person with extraordinary personalized care and an optimal outcome.
Michelle Rice Alvarez graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelorette degree in Human and Organizational Development. She received her Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami School of Medicine. She has worked at the world-renowned Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia and brings 18 years of experience to Preserva Therapy with specialization in orthopedic rehabilitation.
As a native to Florida, Michelle has resided in Sebring since 2005. She advocates for child safety to prevent childhood drowning and founded the Bo Alvarez Children’s Foundation to promote childhood safety. She has authored two children’s books about water safety. In her free time, she dedicates herself to her community, family and children.
