Today we celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Ms. Amber! I think it goes without saying that Ms. Amber is a bright, joyful and welcoming woman. One of her biggest strengths, and trust me she has many, is her ability to make each student feel loved, special and valued. Ms. Amber loving meets each child where they are developmentally, which allows her to push them academically and emotionally. It is not uncommon for her to be giving high-fives, hugs, and cuddles to not only her students but other kids in the building. Everyone knows Ms. Amber and in return she is surrounded by children, adults and parents who love her!
Her students are excelling academically and love the creative math and literacy lessons she puts together. She loves doing hands-on activities which push her students to think outside of the box.
Our building was greatly impacted by Ms. Amber when she came to us a year ago. We are lucky to have her as a coworker and blessed to call her a friend. Congrats, Ms. Amber on your 1 year anniversary.
Today we get to celebrate the Rathmann family! This sweet family includes includes Leon, who is in our pre-kindergarten 2 classroom, and Suchi and Marc. The Rathmann family is never short of smiles and kindness. They are humbling raising Leon to be a leader both inside and outside the classroom. Marc and Suchi are loving parents who are teaching their son to be respectful, independent and caring.
During their spare time their favorite activities include walking, biking, and traveling. They enjoy spending time outdoors in the summer and fall. In the winter, they sometimes travel to Florida to spend some time in warmer weather. They are lucky little "snow birds!"
They originally chose Primrose School at Anson-Zionsville because of the convenient location. Primrose is only a mile from their home. They had also heard a lot of good things about Primrose from friends and colleagues. Leon started attending Primrose when he was only 6 months old and they quickly realized how much the teachers and staff care about him and all the kids. Leon is now enjoying his last year at Primrose and they are impressed how much more he has learned.

E.I.G.H.T. 8....Today we celebrate Ms. Deb on her 8 year anniversary! It has been a privilege watching our wonderful Ms. Deb at work. She understands infant development better than anyone else I know. Every child in her room is cared for in the most loving of ways. Ms. Deb demonstrates a warmth to each child that allows a bond to quickly form. She smiles, engages, and laughs frequently with her students. Her has a natural loving touch that soothes cries, wipes away tears and allows her infants to know that they are safe. It is clear that she loves each of her babies. Chances are if your child has attended our school then Ms. Deb has brightened his/her heart! Ms. Deb is loved by her co-workers and all of our Primrose parents. She is truly the backbone of our school. Her hard work and dedication to ensuring that each child receives the BEST care is unmatched. We are SO lucky to have her with us. Thank you, Ms. Deb, for being such a bright light in our school. We love you!! Please join me in giving Ms. Deb some love.
It has been another wonderful unit of learning. Our students have loved getting to know their teachers and friends. It is clear that our teachers are developing lasting relationships that will ensure our students feel loved and support within their classroom. This month I wanted to celebrate our dynamic duo of Mrs. Coomes and Ms. Wilson! These two ladies are consistently the warm and welcoming morning faces of our school, even when coffee has yet to kick-in! They endlessly love each child in this building. One may not be able to see it, but they always have five different tasks that they are juggling. They successfully and gracefully handle so many different areas of our building operations.
The ability of these two to create long lasting relationships is stellar. They each have a sense of humor that keeps us all on our toes. The smiles last for days and for that we are grateful. These ladies have made life long connections that have brought them limitless memories.
Thank you, ladies for all of your daily hard work. We truly appreciate your dedication to our school. Nothing you do goes unnoticed.

Today we celebrate Mrs. Leila! For the past five years it has been an honor watching Mrs. Leila grow within her teaching role. She started off her career in the infant department, then was challenged with our toddlers and when she blew me away I knew she was ready for our early preschool students. As her teaching abilities increased so did her passion and desire to learn more. That is one of the many wonderful traits of Mrs. Leila, her eagerness to learn. Mrs. Leila constantly reminds us all that through hard work, attention to detail and a passion for internal growth anything is possible. We all admire her for this.
Within the classroom Mrs. Leila is tremendously loved. She has a sparkle in her eyes that comes out when she is teaching her early preschool students. Her zest for teaching comes to life during her centers and circle times and it is a true joy to watch. She has a unique ability to set classroom expectations, even for our youngest learners. Her classroom is tidy, organized and on track for learning. Mrs. Leila is a role model amongst her peers. Her opinion is valued and teaching methods are used widely in our building.
Her students loved her, parents respect her and our staff call her a dear, dear friend. Most importantly, Mrs. Leila is a wonderful mom and wife. She balances all of her roles beautifully. Mrs. Leila is one of those women that you know truly cares about you. I am honored to call her a teammate in this building and blessed to call her my friend. Happy five year anniversary, Mrs. Leila! We love you!!
