Congratulations to our Primrose School at Holly Grove Family of the Month, the Wiggins! (Shout out to Sarah, Jaci's sister and a fantastic former Primrose teacher.) Here's a little about this wonderful family: "We are the Wiggins family - Jaci, Derrell and Olivia (Livi). Jaci is originally from New York but moved to North Carolina in 2006, while Derrell has lived in North Carolina his entire life. We met eight years ago while attending the same gym. We didn't know it at the time, but we had some mutual friends and ended up hanging out together. The rest as they say - is history! We love to be outside as a family - playing sports, going for walks and bike rides, going for hikes around the lake, grilling out or enjoying some ice cream! We also love to spend time at the beach. We are so lucky to be a part of the Primrose family - we love it here!"

Celebrating Cultures! One of the many ways our school is celebrating cultures has been through classroom bulletin boards. We wanted to share the diverse displays of cultures that our teachers and students worked so hard on! We are looking forward to the cultural dress that our students will wear in recognition of their family heritage on Friday, September 25th.

Primrose in Pink! In support of Breast Cancer Awareness our students and staff wore pink and honored those they knew fighting or overcoming breast cancer or a similar battles with cancer.
For World Kindness Day 2020, the Primrose School at Holly Grove shared kindness by creating cards for businesses and essential workers who have been on the front lines during this pandemic. We are sending these cards to local shopping centers, grocery stores, delivery services, restaurants, and waste management companies as a thank you for everything they have done and continue to do for our community.

Nothing can stop the Primrose Parade of Costumes! The students dressed in their costumes Friday and had a private parade and afternoon party. We definitely missed our parents, but captured the moments on video for all our families. We continue to look for creative ways to still have the fun of the season for our students. Today the Primrose School at Holly Grove hosted an Election Day event. This event is not associated with the current election; however, our very own Percy the Rooster and Mia the Mouse are running for the title of presidential Primrose Friend mascot. It isn’t about who wins or loses. It’s about showing the students why voting is important to all Americans and helping students understand civic involvement and citizenship in an engaging way. Children are introduced to these responsibilities through activities and projects that help them become aware of their community of friends in their classroom and their neighborhood.
It’s our mission to create a brighter future for all children – both inside and outside our school. Check out this video capturing our pre-k students excitement!
