Happy Fire Prevention Week!
We were sad our firefighters were not able to visit us at Primrose this year but this did not stop us from visiting them with some goodies to show them our appreciation for everything they do💕🚒👨🚒👩🚒🔥
Today was a special day in Private Pre-K as we wrapped up unit 1, ‘Alike and Different.’ Our class transformed into a stuffed animal workshop. Everyone got to select their own stuffed animal to stuff, name and take home to enjoy! After finishing up the workshop, we came back together as a class to discuss the characteristics that our stuffed animals shared and how they were each different.
Our Primrose Friend Benjamin the Bear teaches children to be aware of the weather. Rain, sun or snow, the class discusses what they see outside, then dresses Benjamin in the appropriate clothes for the day.
Things were tasty in Preschool today! Our students tasted three different kinds of apples and then as a class they graphed their favorite type of apple and discussed the concepts of 'least' and 'greatest.' Learning is always more fun with a snack!!
Parachute activities help children develop a number of skills and concepts related to general body awareness and vision. Today our Early Preschoolers shook the parachute fast and slow and also lifted the parachute high and low.
Can't think of a better way to start your Friday then winning BINGO!
Today our Early Preschool students continued their 'Sensing Outdoors' unit of learning by making critter tracks during Wonder Time. They got to explore different kinds of bugs/insects and use stamp pads to track how many legs and feet each one has.
Don't forget tonight is our Parent Appreciation Dinner! Make sure to grab your homemade Chili & Cornbread at pick-up!!

Love is in the air at Primrose!
Meet the Ko Family, our Primrose School at Johns Creek Family of the Month for February 2021! Hudson is in our Preschool Pathways Classroom and we look forward to big brother, Owen joining us this summer for Camp Primrose. The Ko Family joined our school over the summer after relocating from Chicago to be closer to family. We are so happy that they found our school and that we get the opportunity to watching Hudson learn and grow each and every day.
Our Private Kindergarten class extended learning outside of the classroom today and onto our playground. They hypothesized and then examined what happens to their shadows in the sunlight before tracing what they saw.
