Congratulations to the Hensel Family, our October Family of the Month!
Our Pre-Kindergarten students read "Little Blue and Little Yellow" by Leo Lyonii today. They sounded out the words in the book, and then experimented with paint. Everyone did a great job mixing yellow and blue to create the color green!

We have really enjoyed learning about our new monthly theme: Alike and Different. Our Pre-Kindergarten class looked in a mirror and discussed their different eye colors. They also recorded their observations on their worksheet!
Our Older Toddler class enjoyed the writing center this morning! They each practiced holding their marker the correct way and talking about the different colors they chose to use!

Today we wear pink to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Today during Small Group Literacy our Pre-Kindergarten class read "The Wind Blew" by Pat Hutchins. Our students enjoyed learning about the wind and different types of clouds. Then they practiced writing the letter W for wind. They also enjoyed going outside during Project Time to look for cirrus, nimbus, and stratus clouds.

Today we celebrated 100 days of Kindergarten! We encouraged our Kindergarten students and teachers to dress as if they were 100 years old! They worked on many different activities to help them count to 100, including searching for 100 hidden stars in the classroom!
