Happy Friday! We asked the teachers to simply chalk a short thank you message to parents this afternoon ....... and this is what they did ❤️ Our team’s dedication to their children and Primrose fills my bucket every single day. Have a good weekend!
Our Primrose friends are working on recognizing and identifying a variety of emotions in their selves and others this week. Labeling feelings and understanding emotional cues are important skills for all of us!
Many thanks from our little world to our Primrose Parents for being great role models, engaged advocates and loving families to our friends! Please be sure to check out your precious creations in the entrance this afternoon!
We all need a little song and dance more than ever! At Primrose, we are excited to launch Harmony & Heart™ - a new exclusive program that uses the power of music to reinforce every aspect of your child’s growth.
Hug O' War by Shel Silverstein
I will not pay at tug o' war.
I'd rather play at hug o' war.
Where everyone hugs instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug.
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.
Happy EIGHT Year Anniversary to Ms. Tracey Vonnahme! As one of our dads commented this morning, "She is a lifer!" She has indeed been with us since the year we opened and we hope that she continues to share her calm, professional and loving self with us for many, many years to come! Thank you for all that you bring to Primrose, Tracey!

Thank you to all of the Primrose families who have brought their donations for Loaves & Fishes Community Services so far! We will continue to collect your donations through the end of the month at the front entrance. Their most needed items can be found at: https://www.loaves-fishes.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Most-Needed-Holiday.pdf
Thank you for your generosity and community spirit!
Happy Third Anniversary to Ms. Siba Hassoun! Ms. Siba has been our afternoon Teaching Assistant in several classrooms throughout our building during her time with Primrose. We appreciate her flexibility, versatility and dependability. Thank you for being a part of our Primrose family, Siba!
Happy World Kindness Day! All of our students created Kindness cards to share with their friends throughout the school. We think they did an awesome job!
Learning citizenship is part of every Primrose student's experience. That's why Veteran's Day is a perfect time to celebrate our bravest citizens. Thank you to the families who submitted pictures and information about cherished family members who have served in the armed forces. Your children have the opportunity to share those with their classmates this morning. As one little guy yelled down the hall to me this morning about his great uncle, "He fought for our country!!"
During the month of November, we will be participating with every Primrose in the nation in our annual Caring and Giving event. During this month, we will be discussing with the children the importance of giving back to our community and sharing with those less fortunate. To bring these concepts alive for the children, we will be collecting non-perishable goods for donation to Loaves & Fishes Community Services, Naperville’s own food pantry. A list of most-needed items can be found at the front entrance where you can also drop off your donation. Thank you for your generosity!
Our Pre-Kindergarten and Explorer friends voted today between Mia the Mouse and Percy the Rooster. Congratulations to Mia for receiving the most votes! How appropriate that Mia's characteristic is Citizenship! She encourages us to serve our community, show responsibility, take care of our environment and help others. The children enjoyed making their own voter registration cards and casting their votes. Thank you to the classroom teachers, Ms. Kathy and Ms. Michelle for bringing this process to life for the children!
We are proud to announce the Apple of our Eye for February - Ms. Mary Nizzi! Her poster is placed outside of the front entrance - if you would like to leave a little note of gratitude for our awesome Food Service Manager, please take an apple home for completion. We will post it for her when you return it to the front desk. Let's shower her with love!
We are happy to announce our annual Og’s Bountiful Books book drive! During the whole month of February, we are taking donations of any new and gently-used books for contribution to Andrea’s Angels in conjunction with Anderson's Bookshop. Thank you for any donations that you can provide for this special program. Og is hungry for your books!
Happy 7 Year Primrose Anniversary to Ms. Denise Augustine! "Neece" is one of the Toddler Lead Teachers who brings her craftiness, organization, and reliable nature to her one year old friends. I read last week that the Toddler daily to-do list is one item: "Dump it all out" and that is the truth. That age is all about exploration and learning cause and effect and Denise's consistency helps to reinforce their learning and understanding of the world around them, inside and outside of school. Thank you for all that you have done for Primrose these past 7 years and the years to come, Ms. Augustine!
