Today the kids are hard at work in their art centers. Throughout the school, children are creating Valentine’s Day crafts. Preschool is learning about Vincent Van Gogh in Early Art Masters. They are painting their own paintings inspired by his unique style.

Og’s Book Drive has started. Preschool is talking about day and night. In the writing center, they used flashlights to write their letters. In dramatic play, they are pretending to go camping and roasting marshmallows by the fire.
Preschool II has been talking about the word vibration this week and tested it when applied to music with a ukulele.
Today we are finishing up our moving sculptures inspired by Alexander Calder’s “Untitled, 1945”. We shared with our friends the unique organic shapes that we came up with for our moving sculptures.
OPENING @10am THURSDAY
The Primrose School at West Lake will operate on a 3-hour delay on Thursday, January 28th. Due to road conditions in the early morning hours, we will open the school at 10am. We will check road conditions tomorrow morning before 9 am to determine if the roads are safe to travel on. Please check Procare messages / email / Facebook / WRAL before heading to Primrose in case a change in the plan is necessary.
