Today we had fun learning about and exploring ideas of how to keep the environment clean around us. We practiced cleaning out our Primrose Patch by learning how to remove all the weeds and leaves. We learned how to do it in steps:
-Put on gloves so we keep our hand safe and clean.
-Find a specific area to clean
-Make sure you have a trash bag
-Take off gloves when done
-Wash hand with warm water and soap
We continue to implement our health & safety protocols, like (touchless drop-offs, ensure all staff wear masks and temperature checks each morning), to help keep our students safe. Our health and safety measures give kindergartners the opportunity to make friends, have fun, and reach key developmental milestones each day.
Today during Wondertime Two we did science experiments for our Early Art Master's project! We used sensory bottles to explore whether items would sink or float in the water. We had fun making predictions and enjoyed observing what happened when the objects dropped into the water. We learned the vocabulary words: Sink and Float.

I was born and raised in San Jose, CA and have been an educator for the last 15 years. My journey began as a classroom teacher where I taught Middle and High School aged students. My family moved to Minnesota in 2015 and as my children began to grow, I found a new passion for early childhood education. My husband and I have 2 wonderful boys who keep us constantly on the go with hockey and other activities. I have been with Primrose Schools since 2015 and am excited to welcome you to our new school for our families in the Arden Hills and Shoreview communities.

At the Primrose School of Prior Lake and Savage, we love to encourage children to dream big and shoot for the stars! On Thursday, we watched LIVE as NASA's Perseverance rover landed on Mars' Jezero Crater in search of ancient microbial life.
This was such an amazing learning experience for our children to not only learn about outer space, but we also were able to watch a live outer space event in real time to wrap up our week.
Thank you so much to Ms. Moeller, our Kindergarten teacher, for encouraging our students to dream big and aim for the stars with their goals and dreams! The children will surely remember this moment in the years to come!
