Primrose School of Burlington is looking to hire Early Childhood Professionals to join our amazing team. The month of October 2020 we have selected Ms. Nicole O'Rourke as Apple of Our Eye. Ms. O'Rourke is a recent graduate from Endicott College and has selected Primrose School of Burlington to complete her teaching fellowship. She is an Early Childhood Professional that shows great classroom management skills and truly has a passion for teaching young children. We are truly lucky to have her as part of our configuration. Congratulations to Ms. Nicole O'Rourke, we can not wait to see all she accomplishes this year in our Preschool classroom :)

Wow look at our new Harmony and Hearts program being implemented in our infant classroom. Today an infant student learned the QI skill of "Me" with their teacher. The QI skill, "Me" states that, "I'm in control of my own thoughts, feelings and actions!" We are looking forward to watching the children learn other QI skills.
Primrose School of Burlington has partnered with Womenade to raise money for a local family in need. Wednesday, September 23 2020 our generous families helped us raise $1,400!! Next Wednesday, September 30, we will be outside, once again selling hoodsies to raise money for this family.
Chef Wiley is AMAZING in the Kitchen! This week we all got to enjoy a special snack which was homemade apple crisp 🍎 It was very delicious and perfect for a chilly fall day!
Our students are getting ready for Halloween here at Primrose School of Burlington! Our Toddler, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students painted pumpkins :) They all used their imagination to create little master pieces that will be sent home for their front steps!

For the entire month of October Primrose School of Burlington faculty members will be wearing Pink each Friday to raise awareness and show support to all the lives affected by Breast Cancer.
Our Health and Safety Coordinator, Kate Latham, is going above and beyond to ensure we are doing all we can to keep our students and faculty protected by investing in a high-quality disinfectant for keeping the campus clean and safe. Another shipment of disinfectant arrived yesterday morning. Thank you to Mrs. Latham for your constant effort and attention to an important and consequential situation!
In the month of November, PSOB learns all about caring and giving. This week our students made special art work for our first responders. We want to recognize Lahey Hospital, Burlington Police and the Burlington Fire Department for always caring and giving to our community! Primrose School of Burlington has selected Ms. Laura Solar as Apple of Our Eye for the month of November! Ms. Solar is part of our Preschool wing and is an amazing asset to our Preschool team. She is an Early Childhood Professional that arrives every day on time and in a great mood. It is so clear that teaching young children is her passion and she belongs in this field. Her classroom management and organizations skill are superb. She is a joy to be around and her students adore her. We are lucky to have her as Part of our Primrose School of Burlington.
Friday, October 30th Primrose School of Burlington celebrated Halloween. Our plan was to host Trunk or Treating outside but the weather did not cooperate and we moved our festivities indoors. Classrooms 3 - 14 had the opportunity to trick or treat inside and visit our fun areas. We had a great day with our students!! 🎃
During the month of February, all the students at Primrose School of Burlington are learning about the Happy Hearts Character Development trait of Caring. While learning about being caring, the students created cards in honor of the national holiday on Thursday, Thank a Mail Carrier Day! Here are some of the cards that our caring faculty and students created.
Apple of Our Eye for February 2021 is Ms. Alicia Williams! Ms. Williams is a faculty member in our Kindergarten Program and can be found in classroom 9. She has been selected as Apple of Our Eye because of her positive mood and attention to detail. Ms. Williams comes to school each morning with a smile and is ready to make each day the best for her students. She is constantly innovating new ways to differentiate lessons for her students and incorporates their interests and learning styles into every lesson. Ms. Williams teaches with passion, whether she is implementing Noggin’ Joggin’, Writer’s Workshop, Project Time STEAM lessons, or anywhere in between, her Kindergarten students are fully engaged and excited to learn more. Congratulations to Ms. Williams, we love having you as a part of our configuration!

IMPORTANT - Impending Snow Storm Notice – School Closing at 3:00 pm on 2/1 Dear Primrose Community, Due to the impending snow storm, PSOB will be closing tomorrow at 3:00 pm, Monday, February 1st. We are closing early because the latest forecast is calling for 1" to 2" per hour starting at 3:00 pm. The storm will bring heavy and steady snowfall with gusts up to 40 mph starting at 3:00 pm. We want to ensure all our faculty and families are able to make it home safely. Reminder that the early closure will impact your families pick up time, i.e., if your scheduled pick-up time is 4:00 pm to 4:15 pm then tomorrow’s pick-up time will be 2:00 pm to 2:15 pm. If you would like to alter your pick-up time to an earlier slot we will request all early pick-ups to be done prior to 2:00 pm, this will prevent any of the pick-up times to be overloaded. On Friday, Primrose School of Burlington celebrated the 100th day of school! To commemorate this special day, the students and faculty dressed like they were 100 years old. Throughout the school, the students read books about the 100th day of school, created art projects about the number 100, and practiced their counting skills by grouping their special snack into 10 groups of 10. We definitely feel 100 days brighter!
