The festival of lights, is the basic description of the luxuriously illuminating celebration in Hinduism called “Diwali” or “Deepawali”. The name is derived from two words, “Di” meaning “light” and avail” meaning “row”. This is the most popular festival in India and is celebrated by family feasts, and by lighting fireworks, oil lamps and candles. Many homes and offices are decorated and the finest of garments are worn by many. This festival symbolizes the spiritual triumph of light over darkness and the blessings of prosperity and abundance in life. So, light a candle, and enjoy the sweets or “mithai” and be sure to see all the beauty and goodness in the world.

December Family of the Month We are the Sixta family and we are so excited to be the Primrose Family of the Month. We have been part of the Primrose family for just over a year now, and we couldn’t be happier with our progress and successes throughout that time. Austin is almost 14 months old now, but he started at just 3 months of age. The Primrose staff has worked wonders with him in regards to getting him on a schedule, socializing him, and working through our feeding issues. He’s now constantly on the go, playing and learning with his classmates as they transition him into talking, learning shapes, colors, and numbers through creative learning pathways. He absolutely loves music, dancing, and playing outside and inside during “Thumbs Up!”, and his teachers are sure to capture all of these special moments for me through the Procare app. Helena is almost 3 and just “graduated” into “Preschool Pathways”. She is the reason I initially chose Primrose, as she was quite advanced in her language and reading skills, but a little shy and lacking in socialization at the time. One of the philosophies of the school is to tailor the learning plan to the child based upon individual strengths and weaknesses. Helena has absolutely flourished over the past year. She loves her teachers and her friends, and the staff is always sure to keep in communication with me in our monthly parent-teacher check-ins as to how she is progressing. I work long unconventional hours, and the Primrose staff and administration has been wonderful in regards to supporting our family’s needs as my children continue to grow and evolve. Every question or concern has been answered and addressed professionally and in a timely manner, and my requests in regards to their care have always been accommodated. I also very much appreciate the early and late pickup times and the fact that tuition is all inclusive per se in regards to diapers, meals, and snacks. I couldn't ask for a greater pillar of my support system as I balance a career and family. Thank you to the Primrose Team for all that you do for us!

She has a passion for children and it is evident in her daily interactions with them here at Primrose. From the infants to prekindergarten, all of the students love Ms. P. as they affectionally call her. Ms. Provost is extremely creative and the bulletin boards that she creates are visually engaging for both students and adults. She enjoys reading to her students, dancing with them during Harmony and Heart and making sure they are engaged in all of fun activities within our Balanced Learning Curriculum. Hi everyone, we are honored to be selected as the January family of the month here at the Primrose School of Concordville. Our 4 year old son Jack has been at Primrose for over a year and our 8 year old daughter Josie recently began attending due to the virtual/hybrid learning that her school district has implemented. Primrose has been great for Jack’s intellectual and social development. We are amazed by the speed at which he is developing new skills. Additionally, each morning he wakes up excited to go to school to see his friends and teachers. This makes drop-offs so much easier. We are also thankful for Primrose’s ability to adapt to the present virtual environment. Shortly before our daughter was to begin second grade, our school district announced it would be shifting all students to a virtual program. This left us scrambling for options. Primrose was the only place that had a plan to not only help our daughter manage this new learning environment, but also, keep her engaged during all the breaks in her day. Primrose has also seamlessly adapted as our district has changed from virtual to hybrid and back to virtual. Overall we have been pleased and our children are happy when they are at Primrose.
Happy New Year!

Hi! We are Hakan, Kim & Aria - the Ilbak family! We live in Chadds Ford with our little Yorkie Lucy and cat Marley. We love to travel, spend time with family, and cook delicious meals together. Aria is super excited to join in on the cooking. Aria is 20 months old in the Young Toddler room, however she was just 4 months when she started in the Infant classroom. We started shortly after the school opened, and I’m just as impressed today as I was on day one. Being a first time mom and searching for schools, Primrose appeared to have it all, but I quickly learned it was more than just the beautiful building. We can go to work every day knowing our daughter is being cared for by the absolute best teachers around. It is such a warm, welcoming, and loving environment. I am forever grateful to the entire Primrose family for the environment they have created for our daughter to learn, grow & thrive!

March family of the Month Hello! We are the Mowbrays; Mike, Nicole, and our beautiful daughter, Isla. We have lived in Glen Mills for over ten years with our two Puggles, Phifer and Leia. From the day Isla was born, she was eager to see the world, and twenty-two months later she hasn't changed. One of the most endearing, simple phrases I often hear from her is, "Go outside," while she signals to her jacket on the coat hanger. Isla is a ball of energy with a desire to explore and challenge herself. Isla started at Primrose in September 2020. As first time parents, searching for childcare can be completely overwhelming especially during a pandemic. We have been so grateful to have the opportunity to enroll Isla at Primrose, where she is stimulated and interacts with students her age every day. Their curriculum is second to none. We are in awe of her progress with letters, numbers, shapes, animals, songs, speech, and many other topics. It brings us so much joy to see photos and videos of her smiling, playing and dancing throughout the day. We want to thank all the students and faculty members at Primrose for their hard work and commitment to Isla's progress and for allowing us to go to work knowing that our daughter is being cared for in a loving and enriching environment!
