This is a good way to sneak some healthy 𝖌𝖆𝖘𝖕𝖘 into your Halloween festivities! It takes mere minutes to make these, and they're just as fun to eat. Also, this makes a safe and relatively mess free project to work on with kids.
Let's pretend!
During our Unit of Learning “Sensing Outdoors: Weather, Precipitation, and Temperature” the Private Pre-K children have learned all about weather! They have observed the weather and clouds and recorded their findings in their science journals, they participated in art and STEAM projects about weather and even made their own news station and pretended to be weather reporters. www.primrosecummingwest.com @primrosecummingwest #primroseschools' #prcw

An interesting study on the impact of child care transmission of Covid in communities. The findings seem to be consistent with what we are seeing in the Primrose system nation-wide. While there are cases in Primrose schools, we have not seen "breakouts" of cases. WSJ.COM Day-Care Centers Are Very Low Risk for Covid-19 Transmission, Study Says

ELF on the SHELF will need to quarantine for 14 days after his trip from the North Pole. This should eliminate some of your holiday stress. 😀🌲#prcw www.primrosecummingwest.com #lookingforwardtoelf
The way we talk to our kids about the weather has a big impact on their interest in playing outside. When we talk about the weather negatively, using it as an excuse to stay inside or blaming it for thwarting our plans, our kids learn to do the same thing. Our kids are really good at copying us! Unless there is a severe weather warning in place, kids can play outside in all types of weather. What’s more, developing a positive mindset around weather helps our kids learn resilience, preparedness and flexibility which will benefit them throughout their life. Hurrah!

Love this idea for those bedtime struggles...💛 Avoid the power struggle by JOINING them. If they’re having a hard time saying goodbye to their really fun toys, go WITH that. Have your toddler tuck his/her favorite toy in for the night downstairs (think: random blanket, wash cloth, or towel) and have that be the transition to go upstairs for bedtime. Here, we are helping them learn to say goodbye and transition away from something really fun while still holding that bedtime boundary. Plus, making your toddler feel “in charge” of this portion of bedtime shifts the toddler brain into collaboration mode, rather than power struggle mode.
