Primrose Patch Update! 🌻
Some of our sunflowers have bloomed! The children are loving how beautiful, big and tall the sunflowers are. It's always nice to stop and smell the sunflowers. 🥰
Our babies love reading books with Ms. Berenice! Listening to stories, songs and poems provides infants with the opportunity to learn and recognize voices, sounds and words, which builds the foundation for later language and literacy skills. 💙
We had a wonderful day celebrating our different cultural heritages! Everyone had on such beautiful traditional clothing. Thank you to all of our Primrose families and teachers for sharing your beautiful traditions with us. 💙
Look at all these beautiful self portraits!!!
We are so proud of our Explorers. They took their time and paid attention to detail while creating these amazing portraits. 😃
Happy Fall from all us at Primrose School of Evergreen! 🍁
We talked about how the weather has changed and how it is cold in the morning and at night. The animals need a comfortable place to live, so the children made a cozy habitat with wood, leaves, pine cones and twine.
This morning our pre-kindergarteners learned about ornithologists, someone who studies birds. We looked at a few different birds and started a list of characteristics that we noticed in the pictures. They noticed that feet and beaks were different shapes and sizes!
Today we celebrated being thankful to our Primrose Family! Chef Lana's baked everyone some yummy vegan pumpkin pie's. As we bagged each pie, we sent it with it our love and appreciation for all our families and teachers.
A big thank you to our Primrose families- our children, teachers and parents, we are nothing without you. 💕🥰
Today was Election Day at Primrose!✉️🗳

Meet our candidates - Percy the rooster and Mia the Mouse! Our children and teachers had a very important decision to make - a choice between ice cream or popsicles for their afternoon snack. Children begin to learn these responsibilities at a very early age through activities and projects that help them become aware of their community of friends in their classroom and their neighborhood.
Election Day at Primrose isn’t about winning and losing. It is about teaching children why voting is important to all Americans and helping them understand civic involvement and citizenship in an engaging way. Mia won by a landslide and all our children enjoyed fruit popsicles!
We had a fun week of Halloween celebrations! From Halloween snacks to customs to spooky stories, we covered it all. On Friday, we had our modified costume parade and we went trick or treating. Have a Fab-boo-lous Halloween!
The early years are critical for the development of language and literacy. At Primrose School of Evergreen, we love to read! Our infants, toddlers, preschoolers develop oral language and pre-literacy skills every day that will help them become readers and develop a love for reading. We make reading together a part of our daily routine, building a strong foundation for kindergarten and beyond! 🤓
WE LOVE STEM! It is important to realize that science and technology does not always mean computers, devices and screen time. At Primrose School of Evergreen, our Pre-Kindergarten class investigated motion, force and simple machines today in relation to ramps.
The children used various objects from the classroom to build ramps and independently discovered that the steepness, or angle of the ramp directly affected how far an object will roll.
Look how engaged they are in their exploration of physics!
Our babies are exploring some physics too!
They discovered that their cars moved slower on the the carpet than they do on the floor.
At Primrose School of Evergreen, we believe who children become is as important as what they know.
Thank you Martin Luther King Jr for leading the way.
"Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education"
Today we took a walk together the our Primrose Patch and looked for signs of life. We brought our magnifying glass and color paddles to take a close look at the plants, soil and bugs. The friends remembered that we grew sunflowers during summer and they found dried out parts of the sunflowers. We had so much fun exploring the garden! 🌻🌱🔎 🪵🪨🍂
Happy One Year Anniversary to Primrose School of Evergreen!
2020 was a rough year for everyone but we are thrilled to say we made it through. Our school is filled with happy children, and wonderful staff. Thank you to all those who helped us make it through our first year so successfully. We appreciate you!
Today is K.I.D! Kid Inventor's Day! Did you know that water skis, earmuffs and popsicles were all invented by children? Each year we acknowledge the past and present accomplishments of child inventors so that we can encourage the future of kid inventors!
Just think, the jobs our children may eventually do, may not even have been invented yet!
Today our four and five year olds invented contraptions to catch fish and even rats. One friend made a chocolate factory that makes chocolate using milk! Yes please!
We invited Officer Jett to visit us in honor of National Law Enforcement Day. Our friends had so many questions about what he does, how he helps our community and most of all about all the equipment he wears on his uniform and belt. We particularly enjoyed his patrol vehicle and the lights and sirens! All the children made posters and pictures for the officer. He loved them and asked to take them all with him to show his children and his colleagues. We are so thankful to Officer Jett for taking time out of his busy day to help teach our children. Thank you for the stickers and for making us all junior police officers for the day!
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. ❤️
Hope everyone feels the love in the air because I know we do. Our staff and families were so thoughtful in spreading the love and joy in participating in this years Valentine's Day. 🥰 We wore red and had so much fun in passing out goodie bags and valentine cards. 💕
We hope you enjoy the weekend and share the love and joy with 6 feet apart. 😉 Stay safe.
Happy Chinese New Year!!! 🐲🧧
xin nian kuai le 🏮🎊
Gung Hay Fat Choy 👲🏼🎆
There were so many things we’ve heard from our families and staff about Chinese New Year. We pride ourselves in diving into every culture and learning about their traditions and beliefs. There were so many beautiful decorations, artworks, and traditional wear throughout the classrooms.
Everyone enjoy Lunar New Year and Stay Safe!
Let's Pretend! At Primrose School of Evergreen we recognise the importance of social-emotional intelligence. In fact, we understand it is one of the best predictors of future success, which is why we weave life skills into daily experiences in our classrooms.
One of the most fun ways to develop these social relationship skills is through dramatic play. We know that children love to dress up and pretend to be someone or something else. At PSEG we take that one step further and help build a pretend world for them.
Our preschoolers went camping in the forest and used their engineering skills to build fishing poles out of string, yarn and legos. Another preschool classroom visited their classroom zoo as they learned about diurnal and nocturnal animals.
This month our pre-Kindergarten students transformed their dramatic play area into a post office. The children enjoyed sorting packages, writing letters and delivering them to their friends. They even had personalized stamps with their pictures on them.
These opportunities for dramatic play not only teach typical learning such as literacy and science, but also encourage expressive language as children learn to speak from the perspective of their pretend roles. Children feel empowered and confident, all while engaging in play that is integral to the developmental learning process.
COVID Vaccine?! Yes Please!
We are excited to share that most of our staff has received their first dose of the vaccine. We have grown and followed the new health and safety protocols in order to keep our families safe and secured. We look forward for the second shot that's soon to come. To be a part of the solution, let's do this for America!! ⭐️
❤️Social-Emotional Development ❤️
Doing activities together is important for a child’s development. Simple things like drawing and playing close to each other will help them understand more about interacting with others as well as teaching them about kindness. Children love to mimic one another and while they watch each other, they learn other ways of interacting and voicing their needs. We create a comforting, safe environment for our students to have fun and enjoy each other's company! 🥰
In Celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday🥳, we created many different Dr. Seuss inspired activities! Each class put their own twist on their special artwork.
We know how important it is for children to get the best education at an early age. ❤ Early Childhood Development impacts children's social and emotional health. And our teachers love to guide children in learning key social and emotional coping skills; self-help, self-soothe, peer and teacher interactions, and becoming strong, happy individuals. Teachers help young minds develop a sense of independence and curiosity as they grow in their love for learning. Because here at Primrose, We believe who children become is as important as what they know.
WE LOVE THE INFANT ROOM! 🥰
❤ Importance of Sharing ❤
Engaging in activities together is important for a child’s social-emotional development. Here you see the Preschool students sharing one piece of paper to create an artwork together. Simple things such as drawing and playing close to each other will help them understand more about interacting with others as well as teaching them acts of kindness. Children love to mimic one another and while they watch each other, they learn new ways of doing things. This time means they can just have fun and enjoy each others company!
St. Patrick's Day is packed with so much fun activities in the classrooms! The teachers set up Leprechaun's traps where the children discovered their room to be in chaos because a leprechaun was trying to find all his gold. There were good luck charms everywhere and all things were green.
St. Patrick's Day has become a celebration of Irish culture for preschools everywhere. 💚🍀
